CIRCUS SWAP

Combination of an interest rate swap and currency swap in which a currency is exchange for a floating-rate loan in another currency. It converts not only the basis of the interest rate liability, but also the currency of this liability. In general, the floating rate in this swap is indexed to US dollar LIBOR. The term comes from the acronym CIRCUS, which stands for Combined Interest Rate and Currency Swap. Also called cross-currency swap or currency coupon swap.
