CLIENTELE EFFECT
Theory stating a firm’s stock price moves based on the demands and goals of investors relative to a dividend, tax, or other policy changes which affect that firm. It postulates several company policies attract investors. Investors will adjust their stock holdings in the event of policy changes in the company; hence, the stock price movement.
