CMBX INDEXES
Synthetic tradable index trailing 25 tranches of commercial-mortgaged backed securities, each with different credit ratings. This metric allows investors to trade the whole risk spreads as one contract. Pricing is based on the spreads. Day-to-day trading entails cash settlements between two parties in a transaction, rolled over every six months to carry new securities and show the present health of the commercial mortgage markets.
