COMMODITY INDEX
Index trailing a basket of commodities, frequently traded on exchanges, to gauge their performance. It allows investors to easier access commodities without entering the futures market. Its value fluctuates according to their underlying commodities. Its value can be traded on an exchange the same with stock index futures.
