CONVERTIBLE DEBENTURE
Loan issued which can be converted into stock, depending on the holder or bond issuer. Issued by a firm, the issuer pays a low interest rate on the loan by including the convertibility option. Companies use these instruments to obtain the capital needed in growing or maintaining the business.
