CORPORATION
Legal entity separate and distinct from its owners. These entity holds most of the rights and responsibilities an individual possesses including engaging in contracts, loan and borrow money, sue and be sued, hire individuals, acquire assets, and settle taxes. It also has limited liability because shareholders are given the right to take their share in the profits through stock appreciation and/or dividends. But these holders are not personally liable for the corporation’s debts. Also called C Corporations.
