CORRUPTION
Dishonest behavior or wrongdoing by individuals in power including managers or government officials. It pertains to any act that are illegal, immoral, or incompatible with ethical standards. Some examples of corruption include double transactions, under-the-table deals, manipulating election results, giving or accepting bribes or inappropriate gifts, diverting funds, laundering money, and defrauding investors, among others. In finance, one example of corruption is an investment manager operating a ponzi scheme.
