COST-PLUS CONTRACT
Agreement to pay a firm for job based on the amount of money incurred in purchasing the necessary materials to complete the job plus additional payment. A contractor is reimbursed for the material costs and adds money to get the total cost of the job. It is commonly used in research and development activities where it is difficult to pinpoint in advance the cost of a job.
