COUNTEROFFER
Offer made in reply to another offer, which was considered unacceptable. It reverses the original offer and make it more appealing for the individual making the new offer. Responding to a counteroffer enables an individual to either accept the counteroffer or decline the initial offer while continuing negotiations.
