CURRENT YIELD
Annual rate of return divided by the current market price of the security. It seeks to look at the current price of a bond instead of its face value, representing the return an investor would expect when he acquired the bond and held it for a year. Although not a precise reflection of the actual return, it is expressed as a percentage. Also called bond yield or dividend yield for stocks.
