CVE

Currency abbreviation for the Cape Verde escudo, the official currency of the Republic of Cape Verde. The CVE subunit is called the centavo. Instead of a decimal point, the dollar symbol ($) is used. Hence, a 20 escudo is written as 20$00. The Banco de Cabo verde regulates the currency, with coins in 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 denominations and banknotes in 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 2,500 and 5,000 denominations.
