DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM - DSS
A computerized information system used to support decision-making in an organization or business. A DSS enables users to sift through and analyze massive reams of data and compile information that can be used to solve problems and make better decisions. The benefits of decision support systems include more informed decision-making, timely problem solving, improved efficiency and better learning. A DSS can compile and present information for many aspects of a business, including sales trends, actual versus projected sales, worker productivity, profitability mix and so on.
