EARNINGS MANAGEMENT
Employing accounting techniques to manipulate a firm’s financial earnings, which may show an overly optimistic picture of the company’s business activities and financial position. It takes advantage of how accounting methods can be applied and are legally flexible when firms can incur costs and recognize revenue. Earnings Management can be difficult to separate it from earnings fraud or manipulation. Theoretically, it shows the gray area but is frequently synonymous to earnings fraud or manipulation.
