ECONOMIC EXPOSURE
Foreign exchange exposure caused by the outcome of sudden currency fluctuations on a firm’s cash flow, foreign investments, and earnings. It can have a significant impact on a company’s market value due to its far-reaching effects and is a long-term in nature. Economic exposure is difficult to gauge precise. It is also hard to hedge because it deals with surprising changes in exchange rates, the basis for corporate budgetary forecasts.
