ECONOMIC MAN
A hypothetical individual who acts and thinks rationally, and also has complete knowledge but has no self-interest to maximize personal utility. It is an imaginary person who can fulfill economic models aiming for consumer equilibrium. The economic man’s choices are based on the satisfaction of his utility function, meaning the capacity to optimize any situation involves choice.
