EDGEWORTH PRICE CYCLE
In markets with homogeneous goods, a series of rapid, incremental price cutting among competitors reducing the retail price until it hit the cost of the good. Eventually, competitors reset prices to its previous levels, enabling a normal retailer profits, and then other rivals will follow. The cycle may appear very briskly in market with hefty price competition.
