EDMUND S. PHELPS
American economist and professor at Columbia University who received the 2006 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his works on intertemporal trade-offs in macroeconomic policy, as well as the connection between short-run and long-run effects of macroeconomic policy. His research focuses on unemployment and inclusion, business swings, economic progression, and economic dynamism.
