EMISSIONS REDUCTION PURCHASE AGREEMENT - ERPA
Transaction that occurs when carbon credits are transferred between two parties under the Kyoto Protocol. The purchaser will pay the seller a specific amount in return for carbon credits. Thus, the buyer is permitted to emit more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The International Emissions Trading Association outlines the standards.
