ENDING INVENTORY
Book value of goods up for selling at the end of the accounting reporting period. It is logged as the lower of the inventory cost or the market value of the inventory. Presuming there are no write-downs, it can be noticed by starting with the beginning inventory, adding purchases, and deducting the cost of goods sold.
