ESG
Set of standards for a firm’s operations which socially-conscious investors use to filter investments. The environmental criteria look at how a firm performs as a steward of the natural environment. In social criteria, it evaluates how it manages relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and communities where it operates. And in governance, it focuses with a firm’s leadership, internal control, audits, executive pay, and shareholder rights.
