EVENT DRIVEN STRATEGY
Strategy attempting to take advantage of occurrences such as mergers and restructurings which can lead to short-term mispricing of a firm’s stock. Employed by hedge fund managers, it concentrates on exploiting the tendency of the firm’s equities in a time of change to decline in price.
