GADFLY
Colloquial term for an investor criticizing a firm’s executives at the annual shareholders meeting. This shareholder outlines certain issues for the shareholders, frequently grilling the management by asking difficult or disturbing questions. At one point, they annoy or irritate the management. But there are times they address overlooked problems and encourage action from fellow shareholders.
