GRADUATION PERIOD
Time frame on a graduated payment mortgage when the monthly payment increases by a certain percentage at fixed intervals, normally annually. The interest rate is set in the entire graduation period. If the actual payment is lower than the supposed interest-only payment, negative amortization is made.
