GROSS COUPON
Term referring to the coupon received from a mortgage pool security such as mortgage backed security. It is the average of all interest rates paid in the pool by the mortgage owners, before deducting administration or service fees. The coupon will be given to the investor as assessed by that interest rate, and the amount owed by owners in the pool.
