GROSS NEGATIVE FAIR VALUE - GNFV
Evaluating the total fair value of derivatives payables contracts, which a financial institution has an outstanding balance to the counterparty. To represent the maximum potential losses should a financial institution default, it is presumed contracts are not netted and the other party does not have claims on the institution’s assets. Opposite of gross positive fair value.
