GUARANTEED MINIMUM PENSION - GMP
Minimum pension earned while working in the United Kingdom’s public sector between 1978 and 1997. The employees were contracted out of the State Earnings-Related Pension Scheme (SERPS), and the pensions generated were administered the other way around than in other years. Amount of pension earned is said to be equivalent to the amount a member would have received if they were not contracted out.
