INCENTIVE STOCK OPTION - ISO
A company stock option given to employees, which confers a tax benefit once exercised. No income will be reported when ISO is exercised; and if an individual holds the stock for a longer period, the gain on its sale is considered a long-term capital gain. Options are taxed at a capital gains rate. Also called qualified stock options or incentive share options.
