INCOME DEPOSIT SECURITY - IDS
Financial instrument that comprises of common stock and notes of the issuer to give regular payments to the security holder. The holder receives dividends from the common stocks and fixed income from the debt instrument. IDS can also be split into two separate trading instruments and traded separately by the investor after holding it for a specific period. Also called Enhanced Income Security and Participating Security.
