INDENTURE
Legal and binding contract between a bond issuer and the bondholders that defines all the significant details of a bond including timing of interest payments, maturity date, interest computation method, and callable/convertible features (if applicable), among others. It also encompasses all the terms and conditions in the bond issue. Other important conditions are also included in the document such as financial covenants that regulate the issuer and formulas for computing is the issuer is within the covenants.
