INDUSTRIALIZATION
Transition of a society, country, or world from a primary agrarian into one based mainly on manufacturing and industry. Individual manual labor is frequently replaced by mechanized mass production and craftsmen are replaced by assembly lines. In general, industrialization is said to be a sign of growing economy and linked to income growth, urbanization, and developments in lifespan, health, and standard of living in that society, country, or world.
