Not-for-profit, professional society, established in 1992, devoted to promoting quantitative finance by providing an avenue to discuss prevailing and critical issues in the field. Now called International Association for Quantitative Finance (IAQF), it is composed of academics and practitioners from asset managers, accounting, banks, broker dealers, consulting and law firms, hedge funds, pension funds, regulators, technology firms, and universities across the globe.
