INTERSEGMENT SALES
Transfer or exchange of goods for monetary compensation from one department to another within the same firm. It occurs where a company has multiple divisions or segments, and product sales appear between these segments. A segment report, which contains figures related to intersegment sales and transfers, is usually part of a firm’s annual report.
