INVENTORY WRITE-OFF
Refers to reducing the portion of a company’s inventory has less or no value anymore because of market changes or obsolescence. Most of these are small and annual expenses. A huge inventory write-off may be classified as non-recurring loss. If it still has some worth, it will be written down. Uncollectable accounts receivable and obsolete fixed assets are some other items that companies write off.
