INVISIBLE HARD MARKET
A property or casualty insurance market phenomenon in which the market is hardening, seeing trimmed supply and higher prices, but the usually optimistic effects of a hard market are not apparent to insurers. In a normal circumstances, a hard market is regarded a good thing for insurers because it increases underwriting income. But insurers do not see this, thus, not seeing a better bottom line.
