JOINT AND SURVIVOR ANNUITY
An insurance product where it continues giving regular payments as long as one of the annuitants is alive. This annuity must have two or more named beneficiaries. It is often purchased by married couples who want to ensure that a surviving spouse will get regular income lifetime.
