JUNK FEES
Obscure charges evaluated in the mortgage closing documents which go to the lender or originator. The fees are not seen in the documents and normally assessed as raw dollars rather than percentage of the loan or points. This may or may not pay for an actual service to the borrower. However, these are normally not known to the borrower before signing. Some common fees include funding fees, messenger fees, settlement fees, sign-up fees, underwriting fees, and translation fees.
