JURISDICTION RISK
The inherent risk that arises when doing business in a foreign jurisdiction or when an investor is exposed to perils due to unexpected changes in laws affecting the investment. Risk is inevitable but it is generally higher in countries whose banks and financial institutions suffer from (are designated areas for) money laundering and terrorism financing.
