KEY RATIO
A financial ratio used by business analysts to illustrate and summarize the present financial condition of a company. It analyzes the company’s financial status and performance in relation to other firms, the industry or the market. These includes the following ratio: net income to average assets (return on assets), net income to equity (return on equity), net income to total investment (return on investment) and net income to outstanding shares (earnings per share).
