LATIN BASEBALL FUTURES
A financial contract that gambles on the potential of Latin young baseball players, who are being trained to secure a spot in Major League Baseball (MLB). It involves financing the training of teenage athletes. The proponents of the baseball futures aim to offer opportunities for economically disadvantaged young men and their families. Aside from constant training, they also provide food, housing, and clothing. If a player signed to an MLB team, investors gain profit from a percentage of the player’s signing bonus.
