LEGEND
- A stock certificate statement that notes restrictions on the transfer of the share, oftentimes due to SEC requirements for unregistered securities. Depending on state laws, it may or may not be required on the certificate itself. Restrictions on selling or transferring of stock ownership are frequent in private corporations.
