LIFELONG LEARNING PLAN
A provision adopted by a Canadian government that is applied to the Canadian Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP). Lifelong learning plans lets individuals to make tax-free withdrawal (of up to $20,000) from their accounts to finance their education or their spouse’s without taking away the benefits of tax-deferral in establishing their retirement funds. It has to be paid back within a certain period of time.
