LONDON METAL EXCHANGE - LME
Commodities exchange based in London, England which trades non-ferrous metal and plastics. Aluminum, copper, and zinc are the contracts traded in the exchange. Iron and steel are not included. Founded in 1877, LME trading can be done in three major ways: an inter-telephone system between member companies, open outcry, or LME Select, an electronic trading platform.
