LONG-SHORT RATIO
The volume of a security available for short sale, as compared to the amount actually short-sold. It can be used as an indicator for a distinct security, but can also be utilized to show the value of short sales that take the place for a basket of securities or for the market in general. Long-short ratio is influenced by the demand for securities borrowing for short sale, and the supply of securities attanable for short sale.
