LOSS CARRYFORWARD
An accounting practice that applies the present year's net operating losses in the coming years' earnings to be able to lessen tax liability. Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) indicated companies can utilize loss carryforward in any one of the seven years after the said loss. Also known as tax loss carryforward.
