LOT RELIEF METHOD
A method of calculating the cost basis of an asset sold in a taxable transaction. There are five key relief methods that can be utilized: First-In-First-Out (FIFO), Last-In-First-Out (LIFO), Dollar Value LIFO, Specific ID, and Average Cost.
