A slang term that denotes a huge and luxurious house that is generic in style and represents a good value in terms of its size for the home buyer. Frequently found in suburb areas, McMansion is designed to provide middle and upper middle class homeowners a deluxe housing experience that used to be available to only high-net-worth people.
The term also denotes as a play on McDonald’s fast food restaurant chain. The homes depicts the pervasiveness and excessive consumption that critics often associate with the restaurant chain.
