MISREPRESENTATION
A fraudulent statement of fact, whether intentional or not, that is created by one party that affects the other party’s decision in agreeing to a contract. In the event this is unveiled, the contract can be declared void and the situation can be remedied if the party who leaned on this fact files a lawsuit. It is important to be accurate in giving out facts in relation to a contract negotiation.
