Activity, device, service, or system by which the disruption or negligence will cause a failure in business operations. For instance, an online business’ mission critical is its communication scheme. A water filtration company will halt to function if the water filter system is down and a bakery will need to shut down its operations in the event of having not sufficient gas or electricity service to fuel its ovens.
