MODIFIED PASS-THROUGH CERTIFICATE
A fixed-income security that undergoes through a concentrated interest in a nest of mortgages. Backed by federal loans, it has the same maturity and coupon date. Primary and interest payments are given to investors monthly, which are guaranteed by Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA).
