MOMO PLAY
A slang term for an investment made based purely on momentum. An advanced strategy, the trader is not into the firm’s fundamentals but looking at short-term direction of a security’s price movement. An investor who employs this strategy believes stocks which have increased are more likely to continue to go up than stocks which have decreased. This is used only by day traders.
